Never Before Have I Felt This Power Inside Myself

“I now realise the environment we are in has different levels of control and you need to assess in your mind how you want to control something, where you want to control it and make sure you use a good level of control to achieve the desired outcome.

If you use a bad level of control you are not in control at all.

For a long time, I have allowed myself to believe I could not control the things around me, used bad control and therefore failed the task at hand. But it was not due to not being able to control it. It was due to not considering the outcomes of what I was doing and how I intended to achieve this. I need to consider more what I want to control and how I want to control it to achieve the best outcomes in life.

For so long in my life I have failed to realise the extent of what I have done, believing that I was powerless and had no control of the situation that I have been in.

I have caused complete chaos where others tried to control. My friends and family have tried so hard to help me control the absolute chaos which surrounded me. Through these Objectives, I have been emotional, happy, sad, angry and although at times I have felt like caving in, the strength that I have gained from controlling myself and also the environment around me has been un-presented in my life. Never before have had I felt so empowered to control myself and the objects in my environment. Never before have I felt this power inside myself.

Before I came here, I always used to dismiss the things around me, favouring to have my whole life out of control. Now I feel the core strength within my soul that actually I can do what I want to do. I can complete the things I always told myself I couldn’t. I can live the way I want to live and understand the difference between the things I can and can’t control. I feel I have a courage inside, that I was never able to find before.”—A.W
