LSD Is Risky Business

There are always risks when taking drugs—allergic reactions, overdosing, physical damage, and hallucinations to list just a few. LSD is no exception. Its creator, Albert Hofmann, a Swiss chemist gave the world LSD back in 1938. It is one of the most powerful psychotropic substances known to man. Hofmann believed it was an invaluable tool for the profession of psychiatry.

Two other advocates of LSD who were responsible for its spread in the 50’s were Henry Luce and his wife. As well, the owner of “Time” (A magazine very widely read in the USA) promoted it, as did his wife—both were under psychiatric care at the time.

Then came Timothy Leary, an American psychologist who was a friend of Hofmann. He began advocating the use of LSD in the 1960’s.

Leary was teaching at Harvard and he experimented with LSD on prison inmates and then himself (LSD was not illegal at the time). He had been working with one Richard Alpert on the effects of magic mushrooms (psilocybin) when they graduated to LSD research. According to material written by Harvard University, their research methods were judged unorthodox by their colleagues. In addition, they had experimented on partially-informed University graduates and were both fired in 1963.

In later years, the full impact of the side effects from LSD came to light, including “flashbacks,” as well as hallucinations, irresponsibility, disassociation, stupidity, detachment, and goofiness. At first glance, this behaviour might look funny at a party, but LSD’s long-term effects are far more damaging.

Because it is a hallucinogenic, reality goes out the window and a mixed-up set of images from the mind can easily overwhelm any sense of direction or purpose a person has. This effect can happen, not just when you take it, but at unexpected moments for the rest of your life.

However, salvation from these effects is at hand. Working and researching to find solutions to both the non-optimum physiological and mental side effects of drugs, L. Ron Hubbard’s research included the fact that drug residues, such as LSD stay in the body for many years and can be released into the bloodstream at any time causing hallucinations and other negative effects.

L. Ron Hubbard found a way to release LSD and other drug residues from its hiding places in the body and draw them out altogether. This is known as the New Life Detoxification. It fully detoxifies the body of drugs—including LSD. Dietary and nutritional knowledge is included in the programme along with full medical liaison. The results can be spectacular.
